Όσες και όσοι πάλεψαν για την απελευθέρωση, εδώ στις ΗΠΑ, άφησαν σημαντική κληρονομιά. Καθώς σκάβουμε τα ορύγματα του αγώνα μας, αντλούμε μαθήματα από το παρελθόν και συνεχίζουμε με περηφάνια τον αγώνα, στη μνήμη των μαχητών μας. Είναι οι θυσίες τους που μας δείχνουν τον δρόμο για το επόμενο στάδιο του αγώνα και η αναζωπύρωση της ψυχικής τους δύναμης και της γενναιότητας τονώνει τις δεσμεύσεις μας. Σε όσους και όσες έχουν ρισκάρει τα πάντα για την απελευθέρωση, που έζησαν και πέθαναν κάτω από τον καταπιεστικό ζυγό αυτής της χώρας και σε όσες και όσους εξακολουθούν να μάχονται για μια καλύτερη ζωή υποσχόμαστε ότι θα κάνουμε ό,τι μπορούμε για να φτιάξουμε κοινότητες τόσο ισχυρές που θα απωθήσουν κάθε απόπειρα, από κάθε κατεύθυνση, επαναφοράς της καταπιεστικής ισχύος της λευκής υπεροχής, της πατριαρχίας, του κράτους και του κεφαλαίου.
