Εκείνο τον καιρό, παιδιά χωρίς κυβερνήτες και χωρίς οδηγούς, απ’ όλες τις πόλεις και τα χωριά όλων των περιοχών, έτρεχαν προς υπερπόντιους τόπους με ακόρεστα βήματα. Ήταν λευκές φωνές που τα καλούσαν μέσα στη νύχτα. Καλούσαν όλα τα μικρά παιδιά. Ήταν σαν τις φωνές των πουλιών που είχαν πεθάνει στη διάρκεια του χειμώνα. Και όταν ο κόσμος ρωτούσε πού έτρεχαν, απαντούσαν: “Προς την Ιερουσαλήμ, να αναζητήσουμε τους Αγίους Τόπους…”
Μέχρι να φτάσουν εκεί, το τι θα γινόταν ήταν άγνωστο.
